SES Appoints SVP Business Development and Marine Technologies
Al Sander joined SES in November 2017 as Senior Vice President Business Development and Marine Technologies. Al rejoined SES after a brief absence where he previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development from 2013-2016. With over 26 years of seismic industry experience, Al brings extensive technical, operational and business management experience to the company. Prior to joining SES, Al co-founded (in 2007) and later became CEO of Acoustic Geophysical Services (AGS); during the same period Al also provided oversight on all Aspect Energy related Seismic Data Acquisition projects. AGS had operations in Eastern Europe and Central America during Al’s tenure there and Aspect was active in the US, Hungary, Slovenia and Kurdistan. Previous to this Al spent 16 years with Veritas DGC (now CGG) serving in Executive, Business Development, Operations and technical positions. Al’s experience at Veritas extended throughout North and South America for the Onshore Data Acquisition and Multi-Client business units. Mr. Sander graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1990.
SES Appoints Director - Global Operations
Ross Kennedy joined Seismic Equipment Solutions in November of 2017 as the Director-Global Operations. Ross served 7 years in the capacity of World Wide Quality and Recording Resource Manager for Global Geophysical Services, where he was responsible for the management and development of worldwide support teams that managed over 150,000 channels including land and submersible marine systems. Ross implemented and managed standardized inventory control procedures and guidelines for worldwide projects tracking utilization performance by country, and directing the movement of worldwide assets to ensure each operating region had the primary and ancillary equipment and technology to meet all operational requirements.
Prior to his service at Global Geophysical Services. Ross had an accomplished 18-year career with Veritas Geophysical ( CGG Veritas ) where he served as U.S Support Manager and U.S Asset Manager. Over the course of his 25 year career in the Geophysical Industry, Ross successfully assembled and managed many highly effective support teams worldwide, ensuring high quality recording equipment performance optimal operational efficiency, and timely and accurate project planning.
